Easy AirFryer Korean Fried Chicken

Korean fried chicken is always a hit. It's crunchy, flavorful, and addicting. This easy AirFryer version is healthier but maintains the original crunch and bold flavor. You won't believe how simple it is to make at home. The whole dish comes together so quickly and will be sure to impress.I like to serve my fried chicken with steamed rice!

The sauce is very adaptable so feel free to taste and adapt as you go. If you like it sweeter add more sugar, if you want more heat you can add chili flakes.



Ingredients

Fried Chicken

20 oz. chicken breast, chopped into small pieces

1 TBS Korean chili flakes

1 TBS garlic powder

3 TBS cornstarch

2 tsp salt



Sauce

3 TBS vegetable or olive oil

3 cloves of garlic

4 TBS ketchup

2 TBS soy sauce

2 TBS vinegar

2 tsp white sugar

4 TBS Gochujang

¼ cup water

Optional garnish : sesame seeds and/or green onion


Steps

Fried Chicken

1) Add chicken to bowl with chili flakes, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.

2) Add cornstarch and coat the chicken well.

3) Spray AirFryer with oil.

4) Add chicken and spray well with cooking oil.

5) AirFry at 400 degrees for 20-22 minutes until the chicken is golden and crispy.

Sauce

1) Heat oil and garlic until garlic is just warmed

2) Add ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and gochujang to the sauce pan and stir together well over light heat.

3) Add ¼ cup of water or more depending on how thick your sauce is. Taste and adjust as needed.



To Assemble

1) Add fried chicken to the sauce and mix well.

2) Garnish with sesame seeds and/or green onion.

3) Serve with rice or any other side dish!
